Yesterday, while I was laying in bed
I became troubled with a thought in my head
I realized a minimum wage salary
with no tips that people would give to me,
does not create a large enough income
to be worth it in the long run.
So why save my money now?
I make so little for the sweat on my brow
I'm going to spend all the money I make.
I'll by an accordion, an expensive steak
Yes, this is my decision, an end to my rage!
No more will I be a foot soldier for the cages
Student workers should be payed higher
Company managers are cheap liars
that take advantage of people like me
cut back by parents desperate for money.
I completely agree, minnimum wage jobs can be really disappointing when you get your pay check. I especially like how you said "I'll buy an accordian, an expensive steak" because it made me chuckle. Nice picture!
