"Evacuate Bergen Batting Center"

The flood is coming to my workplace.
Time to seal and pack everything up,
Carry out the equipment pick up the pace,
Move it all out even the new cups.

I wasn't even supposed to work today,
My back is starting to kill me
If i wasn't getting paid for this,
I would definitely run and flee.

My lifting partner is a whole foot taller
I keep falling over from the weight
This cart of bats feels like a boulder,
My legs burn and it's starting to get late.

Now we have to pull up all the matts,
Put them in a high place so they don't get wet.
I'm being constantly bothered by nats,
but this is the last load, one more step.

Bergen Batting Center is practically empty.
Okay... now I can go home.

"My Battle Against Tardiness"

Senior year I finally got a free,
Even better it was next to my lunch.
It seemed much better than I could see,
the amount of freedom I had on this brunch.

Period 5 Biology was never such a hastle,
It is so easy to just show up on time,
But every day I ended up having to hustle.
Not to mention to sign in there's always a line.

Two hours of freedom is a beautiful thing,
But I never want to go back to school,
When 11:28 sadly comes around,
And then I'm stuck running like a fool.

Then I have to sit in class all sweaty,
With the taste of food still in my mouth,
Having to do the "Do Now" suddenly,
In the end I just sit there like a grouch.
